 Genetically Modified Mosquitoes

Evidences: Facts, events , cover ups & science based conclusions
Part One

   Most people know mosquitoes carry diseases.  a lot have no clue that every year, in many locations worldwide, companies release genetically modified mosquitoes that are intentionally carrying diseases. The creators & funding providers are saying they are made to eradicate certain diseases, & continue to release their experiments. All despite many scientific and moral objections & outcries from the public. If the science is not sound,  not enough  data shows results & there’s no regulation or supervisory oversight to speak of here, where's the corporate media on this issue??  Especially in these particulars I’m talking of , starting in 2009. Just under a year before start of the largest West Nile outbreak in USA history, dengue fever resurfacing in Florida, & other strange & unexplained outbreaks that are not in the normal range of expectation.
      In November and December 2009, a company called OXITEC released 2 batches of these GM mosquitoes in Cayman Islands, Caribbean. Claiming they would fight Dengue fever; although dengue fever is not a huge concern there & cases were very few and far between. Despite the many global public health issues &concerns that funding could eradicate, The Bill & Melinda Gates funded company OXITEC is creating these disease carriers & Luke Alphey(chief science officer; OXITEC 2010) to the people in the industry outraged over it being done, the lack of experimental successes to justify such a release & the huge health & environmental risks; stated  that “the government did not require public permission hearings, & there was plenty of publicity, just not worldwide.” Ironically, an unfounded news story claiming dengue fever had been “eradicated” in Decembers final days.  Just weeks after the first release without the time for any final or notable results. Experts in both genetically engineered  general sciences and Health professionals insist “More research is necessary to prevent unintended and potentially irreversible results, to both human health& life & the environment.

Despite Dengue fever being basically nonexistent in continental USA since the 1940s, multiple cases showed up in Key West, Florida in July 2010 10% percent of the population of Key West had been infected with Dengue fever. This had doubled from 2009 where 5 percent had been infected. One should certainly wonder what caused a virus that had been almost entirely

eradicated to suddenly reappear with such vigor.. Of course, official reports do not address whether or not the Dengue fever is connected to the millions of mosquitoes capable of carrying the fever which were released just a couple thousand miles away. But it’s most likely the cause in this case .

United States 2010 was the worst on records for West Nile virus in USA .  1118 cases on record. With 26 deaths.  Majority in Texas, California, Arizona,&   New York.

-- 2012 GM mosquitoes released,  twice in Brazil and in once Florida
-- 2013 Another GM mosquito population released in Florida, Brazil and the Caribbean

Then in 2014 in Brazil & neighboring areas there’s a start of the huge outbreak of Zika virus.  The Zika signature is especially dangerous because no symptoms for those infected but causes serious birth defects to those children carried during or after infection. Jeremy Farrar, head of the Wellcome trust says that the outbreak may pose an even larger threat to global health than the Ebola epidemic that took the lives of more than 11,000 people in Africa. “In many ways the Zika outbreak is worse than. . the Ebola epidemic” he stated.  Although Zika virus is held in check by needs for a sub-tropical climate in order to survive. Countries without the needed climate face no immediate threat. Nevertheless, women returning from affected areas are being warned.

Zika traveled through the USA and up to Canada as well .

      Surprisingly, just like with Ebola virus that the US CDC had a patent for years ago. Zika virus (ATCC® VR-84™) was patented in 1947 by the Rockefeller Foundation. And Gates owns Ebola ; particular strain of Ebola known as “EboBun.” It’s patent No. CA2741523A1 and it was awarded in 2010.
        The fact is dengue fever is still a problem, especially in Africa, & in Brazil and the Latin America’s. Now Zika virus is an added issue. Despite several gm mosquito releases in both Brazil and surrounding countries there are no viable and noteworthy results to support this, & these releases are ignored by corporate owned media, & most of the same population that are at risk of being infected. New bugs were dropped in South Florida, Brazil, & an “undisclosed& remote privately owned” location in 2012 .                                                                                                                                                      2014 a sudden increase in the Zika virus microcephaly birth defects happened in South USA.
Ø Lets have a look at the science behind creating & releasing these bugs.
Ø  Generally speaking, it is one specific type of mosquito, Aedes aegypti, which transmits the Dengue fever virus, West Nile etc . Publicly given theory states” genetically modified mosquitoes were “engineered with an extra gene, or inserted bacterium, or have had a gene altered so that either their offspring are sterile and unable to spread dengue, or simply die.”
Ø More specifically, the male GM mosquitoes are supposed to mate with natural females which produce larvae that die unless tetracycline, an antibiotic, is present.
Ø It is important to note that these GM mosquitoes, known as OX513A,  have to be of the Aedi type in order to achieve the goals publicly stated by the developers. Therefore, the millions of male mosquitoes that were released into the open-air environment in 2009, and again in 2010, and pretty much ever year since, are all of the dengue fever carrying type, most likely not carrying the antibiotic tetracycline.
Ø  The OX513A mosquitoes were developed by a British biotechnology company Oxitec; subsequent release was overseen by the Mosquito Research and Control Unit (MRCU) in the Cayman Islands, a British overseas territory..
Ø
   Also, Dengue fever has been a large & very particular interest to the US Army, CIA, FBI during the middle part of the 20th century. The  biochemical research facilities at Fort Detrick were conducting tests on Dengue fever as a bio-weapon as far back as 1942. It is generally known that in the 1950s the CIA partnered with Ft. Detrick to study Dengue fever and other exotic diseases for use as biological weapons. Also interesting to note that, according to CIA documents as well as a 1975 congressional committee, the three locations of Key West, Panama City, and Avon Park (and two other locations in central Florida) were testing sites for Dengue fever research.
     The experiments in Avon Park were concentrated in low-income neighborhoods, areas that were predominantly black with newly constructed housing projects. According to H.P. Albarelli Jr. and Zoe Martell of
Truthout, CIA documents related to the MK/NAOMI program revealed that the agency was using the Aegis aegypti type of mosquito in these experiments as well. In one of these experiments, 600,000 mosquitoes were released over Avon Park and in another 150,000 insects were released in specially designed paper bags that were designed to open up when they hit the ground.
          Truthout interviewed residents (or test subjects) of Avon Park still living in the area who related that there were at least 6 or 7 deaths resulting from the experiments. One resident said, “Nobody knew about what had gone on here for years, maybe over 20 years, but in looking back it explained why a bunch of healthy people got sick quick and died at the time of those experiments.”  Truthout goes on to point out that around the same time of the Avon Park experiments “there were at least two cases of Dengue fever reported among civilian researchers at Fort Detrick in Maryland.”
      In 1978, a Pentagon document titled, “Biological Warfare: Secret Testing & Volunteers” revealed that similar experiments were conducted in Key West by the Army Chemical Corps and Special Operations and Projects Divisions at Fort Detrick.   And with the current situation, U.S. government agencies teamed with NGOs, academia, and other organizations to conduct mosquito-related projects. Operation Bellweather, a 1959 experiment consisting of over 50 field tests, was conducted over several states including Georgia, Maryland, Utah, and Arizona, and Florida. Operation Bellweather was coordinated with the Rockefeller Institute in New York; the facility that actually bred the mosquitoes. The experiment was aided by the Armour Research Foundation, the Battelle Memorial Institute, Ben Venue Labs, Inc., the University of Florida, Florida State University, and the Lovell Chemical Co.

      Both Military and CIA connections to Dengue fever outbreaks do not end with these experiments. It is widely believed the 1981 dengue fever outbreak in Cuba was a result of CIA & friends covert biological attacks. The outbreak appeared out of nowhere, resulted in over 100,000 cases of infection. American researcher William H. Schaap, editor of CovertAction magazine, and former Fort Detrick researchers, all of whom refused to have their names used for this article, say they performed ‘advance work’ on the Cuba outbreak and that it was ‘man made.
     We know USA government, large corporations and military performed biological warfare testing on unknowing US citizens  many different times & in multiple locations & performs these experiments with no regulation or supervisions . All we have documented proof of before 1960s, starting from1943. What experimtental crap is under wraps today? We have seen the disregard of scientific evidoences & “proven” results that money buys.

Ø The UK biotech company Oxitec has recently released 3 million genetically-modified (GM) male mosquitoes as part of an open release field experiment in the Cayman islands. The GM mosquitoes produced by Oxitec mate with wild female mosquitoes but are genetically engineered so that most of their offspring die before adulthood. Intended to reduce the population of the released mosquito species, which is a carrier of the dengue virus, and hence to reduce the incidence of this tropical disease. However, here are many unanswered questions about the impacts of this technology and concerns about the process for approving these experiments. Further open releases of Oxitec’s GM mosquitoes are planned for Malaysia in December 2010. This briefing provides background information about the company, its technology, and its recent and proposed experimental releases of GM mosquitoes.  *Key findings are:
Ø OXITEC is losing approximately £1.7 million a year and owes £2.25 million to a Boston multi-millionaire investor which it is due to repay by 2013;
Ø OXITEC business model assumes its developing country customers will be locked in to ongoing payments for repeated releases of millions of GM mosquitoes, allowing it to repay this loan and pay dividends to its investors,
Ø The company’s first open field trials of 3 million GM mosquitoes have been undertaken in the Cayman Islands (a British Overseas Territory) - funded by UK charity the Wellcome Trust - without any consultation, public risk assessment, ethical oversight, or the consent of local people;
Ø Former UK science minister Lord Drayson and former President of the Royal society Bob May have both acted as advisors to investors in the company (Oxford University Challenge Seed Fund and East Hill Management LLC respectively);
Ø The company has also received significant public subsidy, including more than £2.5 million in grants from the UK government-funded Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC), mostly for joint projects with Oxford University
Ø Constant misleading statements on the important details of the scientific results AND effectiveness; i.e. :that the mosquitoes are sterile. Evidence shows that’s a false statement.[1]
Ø OXITEC has played a key role in developing risk assessment processes for its own products and has omitted or downplayed some serious potential adverse effects of its technology in these risk assessment processes;
Ø OXITEC llc is developing a GM version of a second species of dengue-carrying mosquito (the Asian Tiger mosquito) because it is aware that this mosquito could occupy the ecological niche vacated by reductions in numbers of the first species it is targeting. This second species is more invasive and can carry more diseases;
Ø Decisions to invest in mass-production facilities for GM mosquitoes in, speed Oxitec’s products through regulatory processes, and begin experimental releases in open field trials have been taken by Oxitec’s venture capital investors and grant funders in London, Oxford and Boston, rather than by the company’s potential customers or people living in dengue-infected areas”

       Although Oxitec Limited was the developer & performed groundwork for the GM insects, the project was not theirs alone. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the World Health OrganizationThe PEW Charitable Trusts, and government agencies in the United States, England, Malaysia, and others were all involved in the development and promotion of the GM mosquitoes.
