Photo Credit: Hollywood Reporter Written By: Puck Arks of TFD Op-Ed: DC Showdown MAGA vs Native I would like to break down the situation that occurred the other day in Washington DC as I see it.  1) The situation was tense due to a yelling match between the black protestors and the kids with racial slurs being hurled by the black protestors and some calls by a few individuals in one video by the children of March For Lives of build the wall.  2) The indigenous gentleman whom we now know to be Nathan Phillips started towards the situation to create a barrier by playing a healing drum song which is not meant to be intimidating but healing and soothing.  3) Nathan Phillips was moving through the crowd peacefully attempting to diffuse the situation when the one child refused to move. For reasons that we are not yet aware of.  In peaceful resolution this is very common and taught when two groups are in a confrontational situation. Separate the parties

Feelings, whether of compassion or irritation, should all be welcomed, recognized, and treated on an absolutely equal basis; because both are ourselves. The food we eat is us. The food we plant is us. Our thoughts are us. Whatever seeds we plant we must plant with all our heart and mind.  N othing should be treated more carefully than anything else. In mindfulness, compassion, irritation what we eat, what we grow, what we think, what we feel is all relevant to our nature.  W e see so many positive quotes however unless we address our true nature we are only putting a band aid on the wound. We are meant to believe that we have to be positive all the time, but the truth is, happiness is more about being mindful of the present moment rather than be positive at all moments.  W e should not turn a blind eye to suffering in the world and in ourselves

A humanist r/evolution. r/evolution is not about bloodshed or about going to the mountains and fighting. We will fight if we are forced to but the fundamental goal of r/evolution must be peace. W e need a r/evolution of the mind. We need a r/evolution of the heart. We need a r/evolution of the spirit. the power of the people is stronger than any weapon. A people’s r/evolutio n can’t be stopped.  W e need to be weapons of mass construction. Weapons of mass love. It’s not enough just to change the system. We need to change ourselves.
