Dear Brothers & Sisters By: Puck Arks

Dear Brothers & Sisters    Written By: Puck Arks of TFD M y dear brothers and sisters—yes, we are all brothers and sisters, I have love in my heart for all people, while we may disagree, but even more so may we agree that some people cross the line, more often than not, or even rarely because in truth we all do it. M y friends, Collectively speaking, conflict is not necessarily bad or destructive.  E ven when conflict causes a great deal of stress or fr frustration we must remember why we are here. S ometimes we disturb the peace by trying to defend ourselves or prove a point. I t helps to remember that someone else's perception has no real power over who we are, so there is no actual threat. W hen others hold strong opinions, you still can hold your own without disturbing the balance. W e need to seek common ground rather than notice our differences. See things from another perspective so that you can understand that person within...

Peace Will Not Be Silenced

Image
Written By: Puck Arks Peace Will Not Be Silenced O ur violent and plutocratic society needs a nonviolent revolution to end the Neo-imperialist policies of the Governments worldwide by means that promote real compassion, truth, and justice for all. This transformation of militarism must be nonviolent, not only because any violent attempt would be crushed by force, but because we are opposed to using violence.  T his ultimate revolution of our historic era is essentially a revolution to end the use of massive force in wars as in struments of social and political control. The process is one of converting hearts and minds by demonstrating the better ways of using education, communication, mindfulness and active nonviolent persuasion. T he nonviolent method is careful to make sure the means do no harm. By not inflicting any harm on the opponents the nonviolent activists are not immediately threatening to them. However, the opponents may not like the goals of t...

Resist Peacefully

Image
Photo Credit: Psychologic Anarchist   Resist Peacefully Written By: Puck Arks of TFD Nonviolent resistance has been changing the world for at least a century since Gandhi began challenging British racism in South Africa. Nonviolent resistance can leverage immense economic and political pressure because a regime relies on its citizens for labor and expertise. Targeted noncooperation can be devastating to those in charge.  Contrary to conventional wisdom, no social, economic, or political structures have systematically prevented nonviolent c ampaigns from emerging or succeeding. From strikes and protests to sit-ins and boycotts, civil resistance remains the best strategy for social and political change in the face of oppression. Movements that opt for violence often unleash terrible destruction and bloodshed, in both the short and the long term, usually without realizing the goals they set out to achieve. Even when authoritarian governm...

Practicing Mindfulness Daily

Image
Photo Credit: Daily Good Practicing Mindfulness Daily 1. Waking Up Waking up this morning, I smile. Twenty-four brand new hours are before me. I vow to live fully in each moment and to look at beings with eyes of compassion. 2. Taking the First Steps of the Day Walking on the Earth is a miracle! Each mindful step reveals the wondrous Dharmakaya. 3. Stepping out of Bed If today I inadvertently step on a small insect, may it not suffer too much. May it be liberated. Homage to the Bodhisattva of the Land of Great Happiness. 4. Opening the Window Opening the window, I look out onto the Dharmakaya. How wondrous is life! Attentive to each moment, my mind is clear like a calm river. 5. Turning on the Water Water comes from high mountain sources. Water runs deep in the Earth. Miraculously, water comes to us and sustains all life. My gratitude is filled to the brim. 6. Washing Your Hands Water flows over these hands. May I use them skillfully to preserve ou...

Why We Are Here By: Puck Arks

Image
Written By: Puck Arks of TFD Why We Are Here   Too often the trend in our society is for people to be separated from each other, to be cut off from the great mass of humanity, and in doing so to be dehumanized a little bit more with each step. So I ask all of you to take just a few minutes today, and do a kindness for another person. It can be something small, or the start of something big. Put a smile on someone’s face. 1. Smile and be friendly.  Sometimes a simple little thing like this can put a smile and warm feeling in someone else’s heart, and make their day a little better. They might then do the same for others. 2. Call a charity to volunteer.  You don’t have to go to a soup kitchen today. Just look up the number, make the call, and make an appointment to volunteer sometime in the next month. It can be whatever charity you like. Volunteering is one of the most amazing things you can do. 3. Donate something you don’t use...

Op-Ed: DC Showdown MAGA vs Native

Image
Photo Credit: Hollywood Reporter Written By: Puck Arks of TFD Op-Ed: DC Showdown MAGA vs Native I would like to break down the situation that occurred the other day in Washington DC as I see it.  1) The situation was tense due to a yelling match between the black protestors and the kids with racial slurs being hurled by the black protestors and some calls by a few individuals in one video by the children of March For Lives of build the wall.  2) The indigenous gentleman whom we now know to be Nathan Phillips started towards the situation to create a barrier by playing a healing drum song which is not meant to be intimidating but healing and soothing.  3) Nathan Phillips was moving through the crowd peacefully attempting to diffuse the situation when the one child refused to move. For reasons that we are not yet aware of.  In peaceful resolution this is very common and taught when two groups are in a confrontational situation. S...

We Plant The Seeds

Image
Written By: Puck Arks of TFD We Plant The Seeds I am not a fan of the whole think positive affirmation movement. Feelings, whether of compassion or irritation, should all be welcomed, recognized, and treated on an absolutely equal basis; because both are ourselves. The food we eat is us. The food we plant is us. Our thoughts are us. Whatever seeds we plant we must plant with all our heart and mind.  N othing should be treated more carefully than anything else. In mindfulness, compassion, irritation what we eat, what we grow, what we think, what we feel is all relevant to our nature.  W e see so many positive quotes however unless we address our true nature we are only putting a band aid on the wound. We are meant to believe that we have to be positive all the time, but the truth is, happiness is more about being mindful of the present moment rather than be positive at all moments.  W e should not turn a blind eye to suffering in the world an...

R/evolution

Image
Photo Credit: Indie Reader Written By: Puck Arks of TFD R/evolution T his is the 21st century and we need to redefine r/evolution. This planet needs a people’s r/evolution. A humanist r/evolution. r/evolution is not about bloodshed or about going to the mountains and fighting. We will fight if we are forced to but the fundamental goal of r/evolution must be peace. W e need a r/evolution of the mind. We need a r/evolution of the heart. We need a r/evolution of the spirit. the power of the people is stronger than any weapon. A people’s r/evolutio n can’t be stopped.  W e need to be weapons of mass construction. Weapons of mass love. It’s not enough just to change the system. We need to change ourselves. We have got to make this world user friendly. User friendly. Are you ready to sacrifice to end world hunger?  To sacrifice to end colonialism?  To end Neo-colonialism?  To end racism?  To end sexism? R /evolution means ...

Control Your Ego

Image
Meme Credit: Paula Lyons Written By: Puck Arks of TFD Control Your Ego Y our Ego has wants, your Soul has needs. You may not get what you want but you will definitely get what you need for your healing, growth and evolvement. Y our Ego wants create attachments to things that you want to make you feel better about yourself. Your wants you are attached to will manipulate and control your inner sense of worth and happiness. If you receive your wants you are attached to those wants being received, and remaining, to feel worthy and happy. If you don’t receive these wants or they do not remain or sustain themselves, you feel unworthy and not happy.  A ttachment creates conditional acceptance and determines your fluctuating inner self worth attitudes. Being attached to something creates dependency. You act like a puppet on a string being manipulated and controlled in conditional acceptance and conditional love. T he converse, being detached, comes fro...

Peace Breeds Peace By: Puck Arks

Image
Image & Quote Credit: Walt Whitman Written By: Puck Arks of TFD Peace Breeds Peace Y ou cannot fight for peace to experience peace. The man-made concept and energy of fighting, in any form, creates a low density vibration in which reinforces the energetic structure of what is being “ fought ”. Everyday you hear we must fight for peace but when we fight what does that do to energy around us all?  I nstead from this day, this world, the events and people in it need to understand what we reflect to yourself comes back to you. Give joy, love, respect, understanding , creativity and good cheer, and get back much of the same. However we must also know that this is not to be expected but must occur naturally. If we only give joy to receive joy, if we only give love to get love in return and we only provide respect where we expect respect in return then I say we are doing it for all the wrong reasons.  Y our outlook is more than just what you think of...

ACTivism: Facts Matter

Image
Photo Credit : Hines Sight Written By: Puck Arks ACTivism : Facts Matter F acts matter, perhaps more than ever. Once you’ve identified an issue and you’ve decided you want to fight, it’s imperative that you have every bit of information you can get your hands on. You need the facts not just assumptions, nor just passion. As they say know your enemy. Not only that, you can easily make a fool out of yourself if you start activism with only passion and don’t know what you’re talking about when confronted by those who oppose your point o f view.  A good activists, doesn’t take no for an answer. The truth is out there, and we must stop at nothing to uncover it. This takes courage, patience and dogged persistence. It often means asking the same question over and over. Or repeating the same facts over and over. This repetition is, actually, an important part of having an impact — i.e., continuously repeating accurate information so that the issue under ...

Anonymous is NOT a fad

Image
Written By: Puck Arks of TFD  Anonymous is NOT a fad   A nonymous is not an idea that can be locked up in a single word or concept because it is ever changing. That is not because it can mean anything, but rather because it is a way of life, and life is subjective. Those who are Anonymous are the ones who chooses to live on their own terms. In particular, it is one who chooses to carry on the struggle for truth and justice on their own terms, without a ny room for compromise or negotiation with the ruling institutions.  T his refusal does not stem from a desire for one being better than another. It comes from the recognition that any compromise would be a further relinquishment of the lives and injustice that exists which have already been ripped away from societies and the people time and time again. It is the struggle that we will not be silent, we will not comply and we will not compromise on injustice and truth. Freedom can only be realiz...

ACTivism: The Revolution is Love

Image
Written By: Puck Arks of TFD ACTivism: The Revolution is Love W e must start to walk according to the highest power of all love; and all those we encounter lovingly those who are out of harmony, and inspire them toward a better way.  W henever you bring kindness, love and understanding into any anti-peaceful situation, you contribute to the cause of peace. When you do something for world peace, peace among the collective, peace among individuals, or your own inner peace, you improve the total picture of peace and what is possible.  P eople of the world, the time for action is dwindling. The choice is ours as to whether or not we will pay the price of peace. If we are not willing to work towards peace for all, everything we hold dear will be consumed into an abyss of organized chaos run by those in power. The darkness in our world today is due to the disintegration of things which are contrary to love. L et us never say hopelessly this is the darkn...

The Revolution of Consciousness Pt1

Image
Written By: Puck Arks of TFD The Revolution of Consciousness Pt1 I t is time for a revolution of consciousness in the universe where all creatures are intrinsically in a state of complete wisdom, love and compassion; acting in natural response and mutual interdependence. This however is not possible unless we realize that from the beginning state of being it is not about one-“ self ”. We are not fully awakened unless we have given up the self.  A s civilization declines not one of us today can afford to stay silent, or indulge ourselves in ign orance especially in the age of knowledge at our fingertips. The national polities of the modern world maintain their existence by deliberately fostering mass consumption and fear.  We the people of “ free world ” have become economically dependent on a fantastic system of stimulation of greed which cannot be fulfilled, material desires which cannot be satiated and hatred which has become the norm. The people ...

Ponder This: War is NOT the Answer

Image
Written By: Puck Arks of TFD Ponder This: War is NOT the Answer I n order to change the system violence whether it comes in the form of war, terrorism, freedom fighters or the anti-globalization protesters in not the answer. Trying to achieve justice through violence is a contradiction. Violence polarizes positions, entrenches ideologies, maims and kills innocent people, hardens hearts and leaves a select population to have their voices heard. H istory has shown us that violent acts get the most innocent of people killed. It has also shown us that some of the greatest nonviolent acts send the biggest message and ultimately are what end up getting the most justice. When we as individuals stand up for what we believe in and let our peaceful actions speak for us. We are able to gain support because peaceful protests bring in a wide variety of people from all walks of life and all genders bring greater numbers for the greatest good.  T he more we continue...

ACTivism: Raise Consciousnesses

Image
Photo Credit: BookDepository.com Written By: Puck Arks Raise Consciousness   How can we raise our levels of revolutionary consciousness, organization and struggle? 1) Raise consciousness with the purpose of building organization and raising the level of struggle. 2) Investigate before forming opinions. Research how the world and the system function.   3) Read foundational and historical works about revolution, by those who have participated in and led them.   4) Analyze the system’s current condition and trajectory.   5) Learn about the resistance, uprisings and revolutions going on in the world today.   6) Read the material that currently active groups are issuing and discussing.   7) Continuously develop, elaborate upon and refine principles, theories and strategies for our movement.   8) Raise our voices. Articulate revolutionary ideas, and give them a public presence.   9) Listen and speak in the spirit of mut...

Let’s Be Better Humans

Image
Photo Credit: Pinterest.com Written By: Puck Arks of TFD Let’s Be Better Humans I t sounds too good to be true – and yet true indeed it is: we can all help to heal the world! Far more in fact than we may ever have dreamt possible. And one thing is certain: the world needs healing. It doesn’t take a great intellect to see just how troubled this world is. Disease, confusion, war, depression, hate, violence plague nearly every inhabited corner of Earth.      And why?   Because of us human beings. A s we stand witness to the violence and the protests across the world, we are forced to ask: What is the heart of the matter? I’m not sure that anyone has an answer to that question. Until we acknowledge our own culpability, there is little hope for a lasting solution. The change we seek will only come when we see a change of heart in a sufficient number of people to tip the balance toward peace, community, and respect for each oth...

Viva La Revolution

Image
Written By: Puck Arks of TFD   Viva La Revolution T he idea behind anarchy has been misunderstood, abused and distorted and like many ideologies throughout history has been hijacked and distorted. The time has come to really understand and wrap our heads around what an anarchist society is. Not just to recognize that it might just be what we need to solve many of the issues we are faced with today but to give people back their dignity and self worth.  T he anarchic vision of society is first off nonviolent, secondly self-managed, non-hierarchical, and lastly, anarchist thinkers hold dear the idea of for the people by the people of the people. Anarchists do not want power over other individuals they want to dissolve it.  A narchy is a peaceful revolution to restore humanity, it is not a political agenda as Hollywood, MSM and fear mongers want you to believe. It embraces all the beauties of humanity and moral conduct given to each and everyo...

Peace IS the Priority

Image
Written By: Puck Arks of TFD Peace IS the Priority W e are a species obsessed with war, hatred and violence. However, we need peace to flourish and grow. Without it, we are stunted by the effects of violence and hate.  W e see everyday people preach to be violent towards anyone that disagrees, but why incite anger and hate? When we are hateful towards those who are different, we will never find peace. We are fed lies and statements charged with hate that lead us to become afraid. When we become afraid, we fight instead of reach peace.  Violence does not solve problems; it only creates new ones. I n order to grow and ensure humanity survives if we even deserve it at this point, we must have values that allow compassion for every human being in the world and not have values that have compassion for some and oppress others.  H ave compassion for all, not just the ones with similar values. Acceptance is key to peace, and peace becomes a step...
