ACTivism Part XIII
Activists are people with strong values which makes them incapable of watching injustices and abuses on their peers, they have the perseverance to find ways to reach out to others, create awareness, and ignite the passion among like-minded people to mobilize and make theirs voices and opinions be heard. They want to change the world and they want to have an impact in the future for the betterment of all.
1. Always remember that there is more to life than material possessions, there is more to existence than having your mind massaged by consumption.
2. Activists are generally intelligent human beings who can do very well in the intellectual institutions of the rich, but they opt out to follow their hearts.
3. Do not trust your education, your schools or your colleges they are indoctrinating you to follow blindly.
4. Examine how everyone in power uses that power to oppress the masses.
5. The best way to resist material items is to simply see how many churches there are compared to how many homeless that exist in today's society.
6. Always remember that fame is a fetish, power is a fetish, money is a fetish and the way to avoid it all is to be anonymous.
7. An activist has very personal friends, an activist has comrades and partners in action, but their main friend is their cause.
8. Be prepared to be called insane, delusional and trolled relentlessly if you choose to interact stay calm at all times.
9. Always remember that morality is the mortality of the rich because it is illegal for both a rich man and starving man to steal bread.
10. Always remember that your life is your greatest possession, your mind, your energy, your humane thoughts.
11. Negate the possessions of the rich, question the flawed logic of a billionaire having a 32 bedroom house and numerous other houses rarely used.
12. Pretend to want an interview with a billionaire for a financial school article, then if granted, ask them about poverty and greed.
13. Question the notion of private property, protest against the increased ownership of our rivers and lakes by the rich.
14. Design banners with powerful words on them and bring these banners to all the protests you frequent.
15. Learn to enjoy the scent of tear gas, sadly it has become the scent of rebellion, resistance and social awareness.
16. Remember that capitalism and its institutions do not take kindly to any form of resistance, your teachers will lower your grades.
17. Instead of being afraid, learn to enjoy your expressions of political and social freedom.
18. The activist is powerful because the rich have to pay people to speak for it but the activist speaks for the cause for free.
19. If only 3.5% of the population takes the activist route, social revolution would be inevitable, recruit, recruit, recruit!
20. If you feel frustrated, remember that activism is infectious because once an activist always an activist.
