ACTivism Part VIII

One beautiful aspect of being human is that we have the ability to change things that we don’t agree with whether it be what’s in our food, how animals are treated in captivity, or inequality between genders and races. When you begin to take action to bring awareness to the causes you care about, you become an activist in the process. Being an activist and seeking change is not always an easy task, but if it's something you believe in it's always worth it.

1. Start working with others and encourage them to use their voice.

2. Recruit friends and acquaintances to bring to protests with you.

3. Always remember that personal success is meaningless in world of corruption and greed, choose the activist path over the careerist path.

4. Always carry a pamphlet with your political beliefs and hand it out as if it was your business card.

5. Your mind is your greatest weapon, your thoughts are the highest form of resistance.

6. Write, write, write! The process of writing is vital to activism, it allows you to process your thoughts and feelings.

7. Stop worrying about making more money and getting promotions, keep your energy focused on the cause.

8. The cause is your life you should never let visions of wealth and luxury supplant your love for humanity.

9. Speak to the rich, have civil conversations with them, try and dissuade them, but keep in mind they are not going to hand their power and wealth over to the people.

10. Reformulate your morality, your past morality is based on preconceived, pre-programmed brainwashing to serve the status quo.
11. When people doubt activism, calmly correct them and explain to them that social activism is the antidote to the abuse of power.

12. Speak openly about products, speak openly about the abuse of corporations, speak openly of consumer goods, anything to short-circuit consumption.

13. Always remember that the corporation is a front operation for rich human beings who profit from its deeds.

14. Do not mope, do not fret, speak to people, keep your spirit up and always be ready and willing to engage and discuss.

15. Engage police officers in discussions about the national debt and how bankers are putting generations of our children in debt.

16. Engage doctors in conversations about the healthcare system, ask them if they’ll refuse a sick person who has no money.

17. Speak to people on all the different steps of the social ladder, the cause is higher than meaningless class-ism.

18. Pride yourself on your ability to resist the barrage of media propaganda.

19. If you cannot sleep at night, do not take medicine, reach out to someone to discuss your causes.

20. If you feel unhappy with your life, do not blame yourself, the system is wired to attach happiness to consumption, fight consumption.
