Ponder This: Deja Vu- Who Will Be The Last Standing? Us or Them?
Written By: ~X~ of TFD
General Wesley Clarke Sr. (ret.) of the United States Army, was interviewed by Democracy Now in March of 2007. He mentioned something very key that has to do a lot with what the current President Trump Administration seems to be continuing and turning into a reality. Now, this was not "started" by President Trump, it is continuing.
Army (ret.) General Wesley Clarke Sr Democracy Now March 2007
So I came back to see him a few weeks later, and by that time we were bombing in Afghanistan. I said, "Are we still going to war with Iraq?" And he said, "Oh, it's worse than that." He reached over on his desk. He picked up a piece of paper. And he said, "I just got this down from upstairs" -- meaning the Secretary of Defense's office -- "today." And he said, "This is a memo that describes how we're going to take out seven countries in five years, starting with Iraq, and then Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and, finishing off, Iran." I said, "Is it classified?" He said, "Yes, sir." I said, "Well, don't show it to me." And I saw him a year or so ago, and I said, "You remember that?" He said, "Sir, I didn't show you that memo! I didn't show it to you!"
Because I had been through the Pentagon right after 9/11. About ten days after 9/11, I went through the Pentagon and I saw Secretary Rumsfeld and Deputy Secretary Wolfowitz. I went downstairs just to say hello to some of the people on the Joint Staff who used to work for me, and one of the generals called me in. He said, "Sir, you've got to come in and talk to me a second." I said, "Well, you're too busy." He said, "No, no." He says, "We've made the decision we're going to war with Iraq." This was on or about the 20th of September. I said, "We're going to war with Iraq? Why?" He said, "I don't know." He said, "I guess they don't know what else to do." So I said, "Well, did they find some information connecting Saddam to al-Qaeda?" He said, "No, no." He says, "There's nothing new that way. They just made the decision to go to war with Iraq." He said, "I guess it's like we don't know what to do about terrorists, but we've got a good military and we can take down governments." And he said, "I guess if the only tool you have is a hammer, every problem has to look like a nail."General Wesley Clark:

This interview always disturbed me, even back then. We here at TFD stick to facts and put them in your face, not "follow the wave" of Main Stream Media. So lets see if General Clarke's words hold water shall we?
Iraq
The pillage of Iraq can be traced back as far as the beginning with the Bush Administration in 2003 announcing that US troops were on the ground for operations.
Syria is no stranger at all to war and conflict. The country has had many extreme groups occupy or try to take over. Not to mention the internal struggle within its own hierarchy.
French control in the 1920s, war with Israel in the 1970s, The Muslim Brotherhood (Obama's click, starts to make sense the positions and moves he made hey?), Huma in the 1980s, etc.
Lets not forget also that the Syrian government was not always the "bad guy", the USA teamed up with them in a US-led coalition to strike Iraq in 1991.

Fast forward to recent history, it is said the current President of Syria Bashar al-Assad, carried out a Sarin Gas attack on his own people, according to....well we actually have no solid proof on this yet. Nevertheless, people were hurt and died. That is one fact we have. The United States Trump Administration acted swiftly and bombed the Shayrat Air Field in which they deployed 58 Tomahawk Land Attack Missiles to the land strip, destroying 20% of it's aircraft's according to reports.
Lebanon
Not really much gets talked about dealing with Lebanon as much as the others on this list. Notably it too falls in to the category of torn territories, faced with some familiar actors in this theater. Lebanon was hit with civil war between 1975-78 & lasted all the way to 1996 , Israel invades in 1982, Hezbollah and Hariri conflicts in 2006, etc.

Libya
Libya was at one time considered one of the richest and thriving countries in the region. Granted their most famous leader Muammar Gaddafi, has been suspected of many bad things to his people while he was in power, you cannot deny the rich environment of the State with free healthcare, wealth and prosperity...atleast to some.
Sudan
As always, #DYOR (Do Your Own Research), ask questions, dont just take what you are being forced fed like a sheep. We all have been given these brains not to follow but lead and make lasting change. Do not give that power up for a headline and a hedge fund. You connect the dots. There is MUCH more with these territories that we did not even cover, but we hope you get the point. This is something to ponder. I dont believe in "coincidences" with people who are pulling the strings. Rather American or from somewhere else we deserve to know the truth. the very SAME people who literally was going to loose their minds if previous administrations put a boot on the ground let alone think of it, have forgotten the basics of tyranny. The war drums are being beaten by those same hypocrites.
In noway are we taking sides or any of that these are just the in your face "hmmm" that you should take into account. Sya what you want about President Trump or anyone else, but you cannot be awake and think for one second that cause President Donald J Trump is in office, it just all disappeared. That he can not fall into corruption when he comes from a world of corruption, NY real estate.

Statistics of the War: (Source- Brookings Iraq Index 2013)
Since 2013 it has not gotten better at all for the people of Iraq. When the US got involved the country never recovered. It was never healed or rebuilt. Hundreds or thousands of people killed, misplaced, and fleeing from their towns and villages. As soon as America left, the new tyrants come in ISIS.
Just this week, according to anonymous Iraqi military sources to the New York Post are claiming ISIS recently unleashed a chlorine gas attack in the rebel stronghold of Mosul.
SyriaEditors Note: Very interesting with the latest bombing of the Syrian Air Base, to see how the Administration will respond, since the reason for the strike was to send a message to not gas people and kill children.

After US-led NATO forces acceded upon Libya in 2011, killing Gaddafi, Lybia has never been the same.
Somalia
Somalia has been the unfortunate "butt' of many jokes especially if you come from the "projects" or inner city. Most crack-heads or skinny people (usually black) in America are compared to the people who actually live through starvation, lack of clean water, wars and government corruption. From the assassination of Abdi Rashid Ali Shermarke in 1969, corruption flooded the region. Struggles for Piracy, true independence, intervention of the global tyrants the UN, change in power, intervention from other countries, Puntland Autonomy, Islamist collusion, and the terror that Al Shabab ushered into Somalia.
And who can forget the famous "Black Hawk Down" situation.
Again, recently there is new movements of troops into Somalia after the M.O.A.B. bomb dropping and the Syrian Base being hit. First time since "Black Hawk"....
Sudan
As all of these countries listed, Sudan is no stranger to civil war, famine and conflict. 1983 stated the first civil war, Shari Law becomes law of the land by then President Jaafar Numeiri, US strikes in 1998, 1999 they get into the oil market, and more.
Just today, Al Jezzera reports 4/15/2017: (Notice the date in the grey part on top of the image from the article)
Iran
I could spend hours on this country but lets just highlight a few things to put it all into perspective with the others. Flip flop administrations of tyranny, war with Iraq for varies blurred lines (in some cases), failed "ceasefires", denying the Holocaust (we will cover that in a different article), sanctions, "elections", UN bans, and more.
It is NO mystery or secret of the corruption, mistreatment of its people, tryanical movements, secret military deals for exchange of resources and the ultimate disgust of America no matter what puppet was in place. Iran has been in the eyes of American military for the fact, like the Trump Admin, noone knows what they will and wont do. Not to mention they are in the cusp f the oil rich region. (G.O.D. Gold, Oil, Drugs)
This USA Administration has deemed quiet a few enemies in the infancy of its beginnings, but Iran has been in the scopes of the Trump Admin from get go. Rex Tillerson, USA Secretary of State, gives some words on how the Administrations feels on Iran currently:
